Virginia Bolten was one of the first females to stand out in the anarchist movement. Together with her female comrades she was a reference regarding women’s rights in the late 19th century, both in Argentina and worldwide. She fought for shared parenting rights, free love, divorce law, women’s access to jobs and unionizing, as well as for equal conditions in social struggles.
