Victoria Ocampo was born in the early 20th century in a wealthy Argentinean family. However, the privileges of her rank didn’t exempt her from the hardships of living in a patriarchal society. Victoria was different: she delved into the incipient feminist ideas, she traveled the world networking with cultural figures and invested her fortune in her country’s cultural development focusing on women’s place in society. Despite being the product of her time and social class, she didn’t fit in traditional molds.
